Skiathos Bus Route

The buses on Skiathos are the most economical and reliable way to get around Skiathos. They have recently been upgraded and the fleet has increased in number which gives both tourists and locals a convenient way of travelling around the island.

There are four bus routes in Skiathos,

1. Airport - Port - Koukonaries runs along the south coast of the island stopping at 26

bus stops. Most stops have an accompanying beach for you to visit.

2. Skiathos Port - Kalyvia - Evangelistria provides a service to The Evangelista

Monastery. A lovely place to visit which houses a gift shop, museum and taverna. All

located within the grounds of a beautiful monastery.

3. Skiathos Port - a short ride from town to Xanemos beach

4. Troulos - Aselinos allows travel to Aselinos beach

Buying your bus ticket in Skiathos:

Bus tickets are purchased at one of the three “i-box” (info-box):

Located at Skiathos port (bus stop 0), at the Acropolis (stop number 4) and in Koukounaries (bus stop number 26).

There are two types of tickets available: All tickets are valid for 1 single journey, return tickets are not available.

Skiathos Town to Aselinos

Skiathos Town to Troulos and all other stops to Koukounaries

(Ticket 2)

cost 2 euro and is valid for:

Skiathos Town to all stops up to Agia Paraskevi (Bus Stop 16)

Skiathos Port to Xanemos

Skiathos Port to Kalyvia and Evangelistra
